XM.com is a solid platform with Mac and PC based MT4 native support, low spreads, good support and many funding options.
Who is XM for? If your an all round trader who want’s access to high levels of leverage, a large welcome bonus, a decent web platform and a wide choice of markets xm is a great choice.
PROs:
XM have a solid offering in general but some of the highlights include; Large array of funding options (Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Western Union, Netteller, Union Pay, Web Money, iDeal, Paysafe, Diners Club, CashU, Giro to name a few). Super fast withdrawals, most are usually processed in 24 hours or less. You can also withdraw your funds using a branded XM debit card that you can use like your normal bank card. They also have a native version of MT4 for Mac users, which as a Mac user I can say is a very big plus.
Their bonus makes it really easy to start trading, you get $35 credited to your account after you sign up, and up to $5000 matched for every deposit you make for the first 30 days. It’s worth taking advantage of this offer, if you have a $5000 account you can double it for free. Pretty sweet.
Another great feature is their flexible position sizes and leverage. New to the market traders can set small leverage of as low as 1:1 with, and positions as small as 1000 to make the transition of demo account trading, to real life trading gradual and safe. Traders can now play small but still have the emotional attachment to their positions for great learning. This can be scaled all the way up to 1:888 leverage and 1,000,000 sized lots for professionals wanting as much in the market as possible for their account deposit.
The platform is considered next generation, the only next gen broker in the market at present. Coupled with amazing support, live fundamental research feeds and languadge support for 22 countries makes you feel this is currently the broker who is trying the hardest to please its customers.
The support from xm is outstanding, our account manager is on hand and responds with in a few hours by email, or if it’s urgent you can call and speak to them right away. All problems have been trated fairly and is always a pleasure to deal with them.
Execution time is some of the best we have seen, this is the platform we use for 95% our daily trades.
CONs
Like all brokers there are some areas that need work, their web based trading platform is not perfect. It’s fine for making trades on the go, checking your action and doing rough trade analysis. However, and this is generally a problem with most web based platforms is it’s pretty slow, takes time to load multiple charts and is somewhat clunky. We advise using MT4 for most applications, no matter what broker you use.
There have been some reports online of people having their positions closed, but this has always been for 2 reasons, use of the 3rd party payment method (in a name not your own), or from a country in a restricted area like the US or a Japan. If your trading in excepted regions with a payment method that has your name on it, there is no cause for concern.
